EmmetsMats is the mirror image of Stamstemme - Quite literally, the name spelled backwards. Where Stamstemme is rooted in poetry and traditional songwriting, EmmetsMats explores the less-traveled paths of Afrikaans electronic music. Inspired by the energy, freedom, and adventure of snowboarding and mountain landscapes, this project blends genres such as Drum & Bass, Chillstep, and Dubstep with Afrikaans lyrics and themes. The music shifts between adrenaline-fueled highs and atmospheric moments of calm, mirroring the experience of a day on the mountain. From fast descents and exhilarating challenges to the stillness of snow-covered peaks and breathtaking views, EmmetsMats creates a soundtrack for adventure, reflection, and movement.
